The game has now been finished, apart from some commenting needed on some scripts, the game now includes the 3 shrine fights and end end screen allowing the player to restart or go back to the main menu.
I have now asked some of my friends to play the game in an unorthodox fashion to see if their are any bugs that I have missed, because no one person plays a video game the same as another person.

Area 4 is now finished and the polishing process has begun. The game story isn't finished however all scripts apart from the ending script has been created and its just a case of placing all the correct objects in the game world.
The shrine fight consists of enemies spawning around the shrine behind rocks, the player will not be able to leave the inside of the shrine making it hard to see them spawn. The player has a chance to have an ammo drop whilst fighting the snowmen. once the player has defeated all the snowmen the shrine explodes in a series of explosions (WARNING LOUD) Area 4 which introduces the player to explosive weapons and sets the player off on how to end the game has nearly been finished. the shooting mechanics now work however they don't currently deal damage to the snowmen, the player also has animations that go along with the weapon and sound effects have been added to accompany the animations.
Area 3 has been finsihed and the level design is finished for area 4. Shotitng mechaics has been started and Bugs have been ironed out.
area 3 has been added , this is the first area without a snowmen attack, this area's only intent is to provide the player with some back story, they have to search 9 fishing huts to find fishermen's Toms Log which provides usefull clues about what happened before the snowmen arrived. It also gives the player of what to do next. The player will have to take this information with them further along in the game to figure out how to win.
The waypoints system has been updated to be a gui image instead of 3D objected since they looked tacky and unpolished , and ruined the game world theme. The gui icon is small and isn't in the players face. I have been working tirelessly to get the second part of the game finsihed, it includes the introuduction of the shrines to the game, which lets the snowmen spawn. I also fixed a bug in the game which ment that the quest controller and the Player has the wrong quest number assinged. I also fixed scaling issues with the barn and key. The run animation has also been reduced to help with nausia.
I have found an error however when working on the college system and using github where the game looses some of its prefabs, so I will only be working on the game from home from now on. Today I finsihed part one of the game, which introudces you to the snowmen.
I also manage to add a pause menu and death menu allowing the game to player to loose and for the snowmen to kill the player. The main menu Settings now work however they aren't linked which will be fixed tommrow. After failing to fix the data loss issue I started redoing the work that I lost, lucky I still remembered a lot of the work and managed to recreate it all rather quick.
Like every single project I work on, I mange to loose a huge chunk of progress, I did this by trying to push a huge update to GitHub and then ignoring the max file size (due to a shader), this then made me unable to push it online, because i had been up for 22 hours, i decided to revert the commit on my local and only save! undoing all my hard work, I think it will take 2 days to catch up since the code is still visible in the git hub history however all visual elements such as scene editing, models etc... has been lost
At this point in the developement stage of the game I have created the start of the game introudcing the games enemy the snowman. It also gives the player a good feel for the blinking and movment mechanics since its desinged to create tension with realstic head wobble , and limated sprint with breathing effects. Here is a video of the game
